The Bugera is pretty good for humbuckers, too.

Sounds great. How loud can this get on the clean channel before breaking up?

  • testing123reviews says:

You can push the clean channel pretty high before it starts to break up. When I’ve gigged with it, I’ve never had to push the clean volume above 5, and still remains clean.

    Hope that helps

hey, im thinking of gettin this amp, i was jsut wonderin if it would sound good with pedals? ive got my set of boss pedals, would u reccomend this for that?

great playin btw i loved the country part ahh

  • testing123reviews says:

This amp takes pedals to pedals really well. If you use delays or modulation effects like phaser/flange etc. it is best to put them in the effects loop to have a clean signal chain. Overdrive/distortion pedals also sound really good to push the front end of the amp.

So definitely consider this amp. If you can, find a shop that stocks the amp and test it out with your pedals.

    Hope that helps

Jem, this amp is beast, but be warned it is LOUD. Pedals will sound decent (i’ve had the best luck on the clean channel with pedals, i wouldn’t bother with the drive channels with them). If you’re looking for an amp to play gigs or jam with friends this will do anything you need it to, but for me “bedroom” level tops out around 2 on the clean channel with guitar volume cranked.

  • testing123reviews says:

On the drive channels you can use line booster pedals to give your lead sound a bit extra sustain and volume. But if you’re using an overdrive pedal on the dirty channel, it can sound quite muddy.

    Hope that helps.

hey man beautiful! strat! i love the finish great playing to im a tele man but i can appreciate a nice strat anyways i play alot of country, blues, but i also play some hardcore metal stuff to wuld this be good for that? or shuld i get a marshall?

  • testing123reviews says:

This amp can do a large majority of styles but it can’t do hardcore metal. You are best off going for a Marshall or something like that.

How well will this amp will go with my Stratocaster Hot Rod 57′?

  • testing123reviews says:

It’ll sound fantastic with your guitar. I actually tried a Hot Rod 57 Strat through a Deluxe in a guitar shop, and it sounded really good. The Dimarzio Tone Zone pickup really packs a punch.

    Hope that helps

Oh yeah, and aaa…. having some crappy distortion tones….. with this Deluxe- Can it cure any faulty tones?

  • testing123reviews says:

Try the settings I used in the video. That might help.

    Josh

  • SstalkerS says:

I didn’t get the Deluxe just yet, the faulty tones come from another amp….
Well, never mind then, we’ll see how things will turn out on the Deluxe………

hi Josh, what happens with one of those with a fuzz pedal like big muff for example? I always liked this amp and now I am seriously looking for one but before I put my money on the desk, I just want a shared opinion. I mainly play blues based but altough kinda heavy desert rock. big fat fuzz is the main ingredient I just wanna know how it goes with this amp.

    thanks!

  • testing123reviews says:

I’ve tried a using a Big Muff with this amp and the results were really good. It takes a bit of tweaking to find the sweet spot, but if you want to use it on the overdrive channel, it creates a lot of saturation and really screams. I’ve also tried a Fulltone Ultimate Octave with the amp, and that also produces a monster sound with rich harmonics and lots of sustain.
If you can, try one in a shop and take some of your pedals along to try out.
    Hope that helps
