Marshall 5210 solid state amp
Demonstration of my Marshall 5210 solid state combo amp. It has one 12in. Celestion G12M70 speaker. I'm playing my Epiphone Les Paul Studio with Gibson Burstbucker PRO pickups. I know I'm playing pretty sloppy.... but this was like the 52nd take... so it was the best I could do today. : )
personal opinion
tubes ftw
tube amps give you a much warmer tone
and if you get a good one u can get 10x the gain
solid state are getting better but in my opinion have nothing on a tube
yea no warm tone brighter screamy robot
i have the same amp but i thimk mines older or a little younger and yes my uncle bought it in 1986
Sounds kewl bro.Solid state never sounded so good!
well im poor and cant afford tubes plus the economy sucks so my Solid state Marshall will do for now
mg – worst tone ever
worse tone in marshall or worse tone ever T_T
how can you hate tube amps?! don’t you mean you can’t afford one, solid state are cheep for a reason.
line 6 are starting to make tube amps for a reason!
Not bad! One thing solid state technology shockingly does have over tube: durability.
is could also be that the microphone sucks
the microphone in the camera makes a bigg difference in what we hear over what he is hearing.. lol Im sure what he hears is much better then what we hear., I would like a tube amp but to expensive and im not good with upkeepin maintainance items.
it sounds great, if you disagree you just jealous, my little national solid state sounds as good , maybe even has more chunky bass,, but this marshall sounds good, an the dude plays well too,,
i am not jealous dude I love Marshall they rule man I just cant afford tubes I never said Was Jealous
great booster, nice demo
What is the cost difference between the two.
Please excuse the noob in me
TUBES!!!!!!!! i desp. need a new amp. btw. wht are ppls thoughts on the peavey vypyr tube 60? im wondering wether to get one.. i use a, ibanez art120 through a boss metalcore pedal into a roland cube 30x, so i think i need a better amp lol. although the cube is built like a brick *cough*house and i would always keep it as a backup.
sounds good regardless if it is a solid state love that tone..good playing gent
cubes suck lol cubes may be built like a birck house but they sound like one 2
im not familiar with that specific model
but peavey in general make good amps ill look it up and let you know my opinion
me too (at least judging from the video). IMHO nowadays true solid states (meaning w/o digital modelling fancy schmancy) sound a lot better than much of the digital modelling stuff AND sometimes even better than some tube amps.
that’s not always true. in the end, you hear with your brain, which makes up for what it thinks the camera can’t catch. sometimes this makes you think something sounds better than it acutally does in reality.
Take two amps, same year, same company same cabinet even, two 1986 Marshalls, ones a JCM 800 thats 900 bucks on Ebay, sweet sound, this ones 200 bucks on Ebay, sweet sound, very hard to tell the difference, its subtle, just one stings the crap out of your wallet and requires a tube change every six months, its like Rolls Royce vs. Jag..
Still, the JCM 800 combo sounds like choirs of angels on high and I cant afford one so I just bought a Master Lead Combo on Ebay and saved 700 bucks, rock n roll
i think you should have changed the tone sounds a lil weird but the song choices and the playing were awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
Think this amp is worth a trade for a Fender FM212R?
